Where do I begin really, for my love of shorts. A wardrobe without shorts, is very incomplete as this statement fashion piece continues to improve on its cool factor with many different lengths and styles to choose from. Shorts are ideally a great way to show off legs, as it ranges from casual to elegant with a variety of choices.

Shorts have been in the wave, since 1933, when Alice Marble a tennis player, made a personal choice to abandon her dresses and opted for shorts instead.

The following year, Marlene Dietrich decided to turn them into fashionable shorts. From then on, the trend resurfaced in the 1950s as high-waisted shorts worn by Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor. In the 70s hotpants reigned, but when Jane Birkin, a style icon championed her brand of boyish chic shorts, it was seen that the longer style was a completely refreshing look to flashing your God giving thighs.

In the 80s, when Catherine Bach, a movie star, paired her denim high-waisted shorts with a plaid tied-up shirt, the fashion piece became the decade’s sexiest wardrobe staple to own. And so, from the 90s till date, we have evidently seen the transformation of the fashion piece. Although despite the newfound refinement of shorts, be it cute and girly shorts, it would always and forever continue to be a key item in our closets, as the trend is becoming more versatile every year with designers continuing to experiment with different options.

So, if you have been wondering what it feels like to wear shorts but are just too scared to try it out, fear not, for no harm shall come to you. If you pair it up nicely without looking too trashy, the trend will suit you just nicely.
Do have a lovely day!!!
