Multichoice Presents The Fashion Protégé – Meet The Top 12 Contestants

The Fashion Protégé is a 5-Episode Nigerian Reality Television Series created by MultiChoice Nigeria to celebrate it’s 20th anniversary.

The Judges: Busola Tejumola (MultiChoice Nigeria), Ohimai Atafo, Ijeoma Ndekwu (Style Editor at Large, BellaNaija.com) & Lanre Da Silva Ajayi

As scheduled, the first episode of the show aired on the 15th of May, 2014. Hundreds of hopefuls stormed the audition, and after much deliberation by the judges, 11 contestants were selected and joined by the one Facebook vote winner.

After what we felt was a wardrobe mishap at the 2014 Met gala – see here – the fashionista and style goddess that we all know and love bounced all the way back!

Lupita Nyong’o made her Cannes 2014 debut on the 15th of May 2014, at the Calvin Klein party and girl threw it down in her chic Calvin Klein dress!

The metallic blue strapless number, which featured a barely-there slashed chest cut-out and a pleated flared skirt was everything!

She completed the look with diamond stud earrings by Vita Fede, a black clutch and a pair of silver ankle strap heels. Flawless!

The Black Carpet At The Maybelline “Find Your Shade” Event

Maybelline New York is officially in Lagos! The company held an event on Sunday 4th May 2014 at Kudeta Lounge, Mega Plaza in Victoria Island, to launch it’s Clear Smooth All In One Powder.

It was a star studded event, from celebrities to professional make-up artistes and fashion lovers. The event was hosted by Ebony Life TV’s Zainab Balogun.

During the event, the guests met with experts who helped them find their perfect shades of makeup – as the name implied. They were also introduced to a new method of contouring makeup called “cacao-ing” with the new Maybelline Clear Smooth Powder.

More From The 2014 Met Gala Red Carpet – Prada or Nada???

So Lupita Nyong’o and Gabrielle Union opted for interesting(for lack of a better word) choices to the 2014 Met Gala, and they were both in Prada… Check ’em out!

Lupita in a custom designed calf length emerald green net dress assembled with glass beads, crystals, chandelier drops and enhanced with cascading feathers down the sides and on the bottom. She completed the look with green suede sandals embellished with large stones and a green raso clutch.(All Prada)

Gabrielle in a custom black crop top embellished with Swarovski crystals, beads and onyx stones paired with a knee-length feather-fringed black plastic wrap skirt. A black leather Prada clutch embellished with grommets and onyx crystals plus Prada black satin sandals accessorized her look.

We’re not quite sure about their outfits, so we’ll let you guys be the judge!
